Doe-eyed beauty Maadhavi was born in the city of Hyderabad, state of Andhra Pradesh. She started dancing at the young age of eight. Maadhavi was a well known Bharat Natyam dancer and has given more than a thousand performances. While still in eighth grade at Stanley Girls High School Hyderabad, she was discovered by ace Telugu film director Dasari Narayan Rao who cast her as a leading lady in his first movie Thoorpu Padamara, which was a great success. From then on this talented actress never looked back. Though she started her career in Telugu, her talent and flair for languages let her go on to act in seven languages: Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Oriya, Bengali and Malayalam. She acted with famous stars like Sivaji Ganesan, Rajnikant, Mammoty, Mohan Lal, Rajkumar, Chiranjeevi, Ranjit Malik, Kamal Hassan, Vishnu Vardan, Ambrish and Mohanbabu.

Maadhavi was also cast my great film directors such as Harihan, K, Vishwanath, K. Balachander, Raghavender Rao, Padmarajan, Bharatan, Bharathi Raja, Dorai Bhagawan and others. She has won innumerable state awards as best actress. She also has to her credit a number of Silver, Golden, and Platunum Jubilees of her movies. In her seventeen-year career she has acted in more than three hundred movies and is a respected and accomplished actress of all language films of India.
